Accessibility Statement
I want this site to be usable by everyone who visits, including people with disabilities. It was built from the outset with accessibility in mind.
Conformance level
The site has been made accessible in line with Israeli Standard IS 5568 at level AA, and tested against WCAG 2.1 level AA.
What has been done
- Proper page and heading structure, so the site works well with screen readers.
- The whole site can be used with a keyboard, with a clearly visible focus indicator.
- Text alternatives that describe the images and paintings in words.
- Sufficient colour contrast between text and background.
- Responsive layout for phones and screens of every size, with support for text enlargement.
- Full support for right-to-left (Hebrew) and left-to-right (English) text.
- A contact form with a clear label for every field.
- The works gallery and its full-screen view can be operated entirely by keyboard.
- No third-party accessibility overlay is used; accessibility is built into the site itself.
How it was tested
Every page, in Hebrew and English, was checked with an automated tool (axe) against WCAG 2.1 level AA on desktop and mobile screen sizes. Full keyboard navigation and the VoiceOver screen reader were also tested, in Chrome on macOS.
Known limitations
- The TV clips on the Press page are archive content from third parties and have no captions.
- The site links to external websites (bookstores, articles) whose accessibility I do not control.
Physical accessibility
There is no fixed premises open to the public. Lectures and supervision take place at the inviting venue, and I am happy to arrange any adjustment needed in advance.
