For Professionals and the Public
Lectures & Supervision
I lecture on eating disorders to professionals, treatment teams, students, and general audiences, and support therapists through supervision and consultation, drawing on nearly three decades of clinical experience.
Lecture
A Journey into the World of People Living with Eating Disorders
My lectures are a journey into the inner world of people living with eating disorders. I illustrate it through paintings by patients of all ages and genders — paintings that express experiences and difficult events, and form a rich visual language that serves as a first bridge to connection and to spontaneous, authentic expression.
The lecture covers
- The circumstances and events from which the eating disorder grew, as they emerge in the paintings
- The sheet of paper as a projection of the inner world: what the placement of the painting, its size, and the order in which it forms can tell us
- The choice of materials and colors — from Panda crayons to gouache — and the intensity of color
- How, session by session, a shared pictorial language develops between patients and therapist
Length: about 1–1.5 hoursAudience: mental-health and eating-disorder professionals, treatment teams, and studentsTailoring: lectures with specific content can be built to suit the audienceFormat: in person, in Hebrew
A Lecture for General Audiences
The lecture can also be adapted for non-professional audiences. This version is more general: an introduction to eating disorders and how they are treated, with less focus on the therapeutic model itself.
